BANGOR – A man accused of robbing a Patten credit union in February was back in court Wednesday facing a new charge.
Bryan Ingalls, 59, has been held at Penobscot County Jail since his arrest on Valentine’s Day. He was indicted on a robbery charge in April and his bail was set at $40,000 but he was unable to make bail.
Ingalls was back in court on Wednesday to face an additional charge of tampering with a witness.
An additional $5,000 cash bail was set for the new charge as well as a condition that he not have contact with the witness.
If convicted on the charge of tampering with a witness, Ingalls could face up to five years in prison and $5,000 fine.
Ingalls next court appearance is scheduled for September.
