CORINTH- Deputies with the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Department said they believe speed and alcohol played a role in a rollover accident early Sunday morning.
The accident happened on Ledge Hill Road around 7:30 a.m.
Officials tell us the driver lost control of his pickup truck and struck several trees.
A firefighter said when they arrived on scene the driver was partially out of the vehicle.
They used the Jaws of Life to extract the 43 year-old driver from the truck.
He was transported to Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
Officials said he was wearing a seat belt.
Firefighters said there was a passenger in the vehicle, but he was uninjured.
The deputy we spoke with said charges are expected to be filed.
