BANGOR – Shriners are known for the care they provide to children, and also for the way they care about everyone involved in their fraternity.
That is evident with an event this Friday night at Anah Shriners.
Dale Hatch, an Anah Shrine Clown known as ‘Slap-Shot’, has been diagnosed with cancer.
The Anah Shrine Clowns, along with his lifelong employer, are teaming up to host a benefit spaghetti dinner and auction for Dale and his family.
“It’s kind of a legacy for him” says Donald Young, also known as Anah Shrine Clown ‘BoBo’ “his father started, was one of the original starters of the shrine clowns at Anah Shrine. And at Dysart’s, that’s the only job he’s ever worked his whole life so they feel like they would like to help out”
The dinner is by donation and will be served from 5:30 to 7:30. Anah’s Clowns will do the spaghetti dinner, and Dysart’s will donate all the desserts
To-go meals are available, just stop into Anah Shriners, 1404 Broadway in Bangor.
A Go Fund Me page has also been established, find that by visiting the Anah Shrine Clowns Facebook page.
