BANGOR – Bangor police have made an arrest in last Tuesday’s shooting on Union Street.
Albe Lagasse, 51, of Bangor, was arrested Monday and charged with elevated aggravated assault, police said.
Lagasse reportedly was one of the participants in an argument over a woman that ended when two men, including Lagasse, were shot, officials said.
During the argument, Lagasse allegedly produced and fired a weapon, injuring the victim, according to police.
The victim allegedly returned fire and injured Lagasse, police said.
After his arrest, Lagasse was taken to Penobscot County Jail, where bail has been set at $25,000.
The incident remains under investigation. Additional information was not immediately available.
