Bangor Humane Society announces Tiles for Tomorrow project Featured

Written by

BANGOR - Pets can be such an important part of someones life. Now you can honor them while helping another pet find its forever home.

The Bangor Humane Society launched its "Tiles for Tomorrow" project on Monday. The goal is to raise money for their "Building for Tomorrow, Creating Bonds for Life" campaign, which will help to renovate their building to make a better place for the animals living there.

The "Tiles for Tomorrow" project allows you to leave a legacy for your furry friend by purchasing a customized ceramic paw print tile. They will be designed in the reverse colors of the tiles from the original building campaign from 1996.

"We think it's a beautiful way to be able to honor all of the people and pets who have come through this building." Stacey Coventry, Director of Development and Public Relations, said. "For the future, we're excited to be able to walk through the halls and see all those names preserved."

The tiles will be permanently mounted on the walls in the lobby and hallways along with the tiles from the 1996 campaign.

If you're interested in buying a title, email Suzan Prendergast. Tiles can be purchased for $250, and Officials said only 400 tiles will be sold.
