The event was the first of 22 happening this week to celebrate the LGBTQ community.
"Visibility for the LGBTQ+ community. I think the bigger Pride gets here, the more people think maybe we don't need it. But it's still critical for visibility, especially for the trans people in Bangor, and it just brings everyone together," said organizer Anthony Fischetti.
Scheduled for Monday evening was a Charlie Howard memorial to honor an openly gay man killed decades ago in Bangor as well as a Health Equity Alliance open house.
