STATEWIDE – There have been many water-related deaths over the past several weeks, according to Maine Game Warden Rick Ouellette.
To help with these situations this summer Bangor Motor Sports has given a Jet Ski to game wardens.
“Working off a Jet Ski can be an advantage to someone drowning or a speedy response. This machine goes over 60 miles per hour on the water which is very fast,” he said.
Ouellette recommends that boaters make sure their boats are good on gas, that their motors are working properly and that they have jackets on before they get far from shore.
