Former U.S. Coast Guard house for sale in Jonesboro

Written by

JONESBORO - A piece of local history, its connection to the sea and the people who help protect those who make their living from it is up for sale.

It's a home that once was used to house U.S. Coast Guard members.

An open house for the 9 Ferry St. property is scheduled for 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday.

The 2,000-square foot Victorian-style home is being sold at auction.

“It's a really charming property,” said Barbara Salfity of the U.S. General Services Administration. “It's got four bedrooms and two bathrooms, beautiful views of the waterfront in Moosabec Reach and Donovan Cove.”
