GLENBURN – A Glenburn man trying to avoid arrest is facing new charges.
Authorities said a Penobscot County sheriff’s deputy spotted 37-year-old Brandon Harvey a little after 1 p.m. Sunday.
They said the deputy tried to arrest Harvey on outstanding warrants but he ended up getting dragged down Hudson Road after Harvey jumped behind the wheel.
“The deputy was attempting to handcuff him and had handcuffed one arm and then got dragged and then the deputy was able to handcuff him to the steering wheel at which point Mr. Harvey, fortunately, decided to stop the vehicle,” said Penobscot County Assistant District Attorney Joshua Saucier.
Harvey is charged with aggravated assault.
He is being held at the Penobscot County Jail without bail.
