BANGOR – The lone passenger of a small plane was able to walk away after the aircraft he was flying tipped over after landing in Bangor Wednesday afternoon.
According to Bangor International Airport’s assistant director Brian Veneziano, a four-passenger Cessna 210 successfully landed before the landing gear collapsed shortly after 2:00 Wednesday afternoon.
Veneziano said the plane left Old Town Municipal Airport at 2:07 p.m. and landed at its home base of B.I.A. at 2:13.
Airport officials said the Federal Aviation Administration has been notified of the crash, which remains under investigation.
