The Harold Alfond Sports Arena was packed with students and family members as more than 1,700 students graduated over the weekend.
"Today we're celebrating everyone here graduating [in] 2019. There's some really proud parents and family members here today so I'm very excited. Really proud of everyone here," said Salutatorian Ana Eliza Souza-Cunha.
"I have my parents and little sister. The six other siblings couldn't make it. Big family but it's a big day and I'm excited," Valedictorian Drew Brooks said.
In one week, Souza-Cunha will be starting a job doing clinical research in Boston. Brooks will be going to Europe for a month before he starts teaching with the Princeton Review and attending Tufts University School of Medicine.
