1 dead, 3 injured after wrong way crash in Augusta Featured

AUGUSTA- State Police have identified the woman killed in a wrong way crash on Saturday on I-95 in Augusta.

Police said 22-year-old Sierra Prescott from Saco was killed instantly in the head-on crash.


She collided with two other cars around 8:30 Saturday night.


According to State Police, 44-year old Shuba Raja was critically injured.


She was being driven by 40 year-old Vikram Kumar of Bangor.


He and the third driver involved, 61 year-old Frederick Homans of Northport, have minor injuries.


Police are still investigating why the young woman ended up in the wrong lane.


The northbound lanes of the interstate were closed for three hours.
