BREWER – There was a heavy police presence in Brewer that led to one man being detained and then released. Police say it was a misunderstanding.
Around 4:15 Tuesday afternoon, Maine State Police and Brewer Police blocked northbound traffic on Main Street until the man was detained.
This all happened near the corner of Holyoke and North Main Streets.
According to Brewer Police, the man who was detained turned out to be a Good Samaritan.
