The chamber hosts the event once a month during legislative session at Eastern Maine Community College for local business leaders to meet with their lawmakers working in Washington, DC and Augusta.
At Saturday morning's event, topics ranged from affordable housing to workers' compensation bills. Rep. Jared Golden also attended.
Event organizers said the legislators find Hot Stove discussions helpful too.
"Legislators tell us all the time, 'the chamber of commerce is great, but we really don't want to hear from you, we want to hear from the businesses you represent'. So this is an opportunity to have those conversations," said Deb Neuman, the president and CEO of the Bangor Region Chamber of Commerce.
They're planning to have another Hot Stove in May, which will be the last for this legislative session.
