HANCOCK COUNTY – A 23-year-old Richmond man faces attempted murder charges after allegedly shooting his father over the weekend.
According to court records, Christopher Laliberte is accused of shooting his dad in the chest at around 4:00 a.m. Sunday.
According to an affidavit, Laliberte was staying at a camp on Upper Lead Mountain Pond Road in Township 8 when he got in a verbal argument with his father, David Laliberte.
The investigating detective in the case said the argument was about whether Christopher was sober enough to drive a car.
The argument escalated to the point where the younger Laliberte fired three shots, but only one of those struck the elder Laliberte, who was transported to Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center.
