A busy week at Bangor's Challenger Learning Center

Written by

BANGOR - The Challenger Learning Center in Bangor is always a busy place during school vacations, and this week was no different.

The April vacation camp is underway with a different learning adventure each day.

This week, kids attending the daily camps range from kindergarten through fifth grade, so the activities are adaptable for all ages.

The center's education director says its a great way for kids to learn skills they may not use right away, and have a good time in the process

"A lot of the concepts we cover, a lot of the time kids might not see them until middle school of high school" says education director Jennifer Therrian, "but they can enjoy them, have fun with them, get a little bit of science vocabulary. Then we hope when they get to those topics later on, they'll have a basis of knowledge about them."
