BANGOR - Bangor Police have arrested a 36-year-old woman for allegedly passing around counterfeit money.

Tiffany Voisine appeared in court Tuesday afternoon, where a judge released her on an unsecured bail.

According to the Penobscot County District Attorney's Office, Voisine allegedly tried to pay for items at a Bangor convenience store with two fake $100 bills.

Bangor Police Sergeant Wade Betters says three different businesses have reported receiving fake $50 and $100 bills recently.
