OLD TOWN - A man is facing OUI and criminal mischief charges after police said he caused a single vehicle crash in Old Town.

According to Old Town police officials, the crash happened around 6 a.m. on Main Street near the mill.

Police said Jeffery Severance, 20, of Milford took out a utility pole and also struck a fence.

They believe speed and alcohol were factors.

Severance was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries and will be held at the Penobscot County Jail.

Emera Maine was on scene to replace the pole. Part of Main Street in Old Town was shut down for most of the morning.
