Written by

BANGOR- Some people sent their Saturday strumming away at the first ever Mud Strum Ukulele Festival.

4 groups from the area and others gathered at the Bangor Public Library to play all types of music.

The group even brought sheet music for those who wanted to sing or play along.

Those without a ukulele were invited to "air ukulele"

"The highlight of the day is just seeing the enthusiasm on everyone's face" said Andrew Carlson, the leader of the Old Town Ukulele Club. "The number of people that turned out and just to hear so many voices and ukuleles together is awesome."

In total 55 ukulele's were at the event.
