Volunteers from the church have stepped up to help plan and serve the dinner. Crosspoint's senior pastor, Jerry Mick, said the event is meant to show appreciation to law enforcement from all over Maine.
"It's just a way we can say thank you and God bless you and thank you for protecting our freedoms and allowing us to live in a safe country, a safe city, a safe state, here in Maine. Just showing appreciation. Nothing more, nothing less," Mick said.
The dinner will take place on Thursday, March 28, at Crosspoint Church beginning at 6 p.m. Members of law enforcement interested in going should contact the church.
