AUGUSTA - Augusta police arrested two people on drug charges in separate incidents last week.

Officers executed a search warrant at a home on Water Street around 2 p.m. Friday afternoon.

Inside the home, police arrested Randy Otero-Sanchez, 27, of New York on two counts of aggravated drug trafficking.

Authorities said that around the same time officers were executing the warrant, police nearby pulled over a vehicle driven by Krysta Roberts, 25, of Gardiner.

According to police, Roberts was arrested and charged with possession, as well as two counts of aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs.

Authorities said that while both incidents happened in the same time frame, the traffic stop was not related to the search of the Water Street apartment.
