Bangin' Whoopie to open location in downtown Bangor

Written by

BANGOR - A shop that sells a large selection of whoopie pies is moving into downtown Bangor.

Bangin' Whoopie already has a location on Hammond Street and is scheduled to open the doors at its new location within the week.

"We're trying to catch the walking tourists, the concerts, the festivals that go on downtown," said James Gallagher, owner of Bangin' Whoopie. "Downtown is just a fun place to be, so we wanted to be downtown as well as up here."

The shop offers over 100 different types of whoopie pies, Maine's official state treat.

They have everything from traditional chocolate and vanilla, to caramel sea salt to red velvet.

They even make small and mini whoopie pies.

The new location is on the corner of Main and Water Streets.
