The wildly popular Caribou Russet potato will be used at two locations within walking distance of the Cross Insurance Center.
Hops House 99, inside Hollywood Casino, will use the instantly popular spud in their hand-cut french fries.
Across the street at Geaghan's Pub and Brewery, they'll use it in favorites such as their Irish nachos, shepherd's pie and potato-based stews.
Peter Geaghan says the Maine Potato Board approached them about offering the potato.
He says it's a choice he's glad they made.
"We've always used Maine potatoes, but this Caribou Russet is something we really hadn't used much," said Geaghan. "And we're really glad we did, it's a beautiful product and it's gone really well since we introduced it."
Both eateries will use the potato long after the Tourney crowds have left the Cross Center, which also serves the Caribou in their concession stands.
