GRAND ISLE – Police said that a missing woman from Delaware was located in northern Maine Thursday after she crashed her vehicle on Route 1.
Maine State Police said the driver, 40-year-old Kathryn Campbell, missed a curve, sending her vehicle off the road. Police said that her car then struck a utility pole before rolling over.
According to police, Campbell was reported missing in Delaware on Feb. 9. They said Campbell gave them a fake name at the scene but that she was later identified.
Authorities said that Campbell broke her neck in the crash and that she was undergoing treatment at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.
The incident remains under investigation.
