BANGOR – People in need now can shop for household and personal items at no cost to them, thanks to donations to The Storehouse, a nonprofit agency operating out of a corner of the Union Street Brick Church.
The Storehouse offers free clothing, toiletries, tents, furniture, kitchen items and a variety of other essentials to homeless and low-income people, those who have affected by fires and anyone else in need of help.
The Storehouse is open from 10 a.m to 4 p.m. daily for those dropping off donations or picking up items. The church also operates a food pantry and a daytime warming center and serves up free meals. At 7 p.m. on Thursday nights, it hosts an open mic night.
