STATEWIDE – Earlier this week, former Gov. Paul LePage criticized Gov. Janet Mills’ $8 billion budget proposal.
As Mills prepared to deliver her first State of the Budget speech, the former governor shared his opinions in a radio interview Monday morning.
“What this budget really tells me is that she made a lot of political promises during the election, and now they’re calling in the chips and she’s giving everyone what she promised she would give them, and now she’s gonna hurt the Maine people,” LePage said.
LePage already has stated that if he sees Maine going in a direction he does not feel is beneficial, he will consider another run at becoming Maine’s governor in 2022.
