BANGOR – The 155-year-old Bangor Historical Society has hired a new executive director.
Risteen Bahr, president of the society’s board of directors said Michael Melochick will lead the society as it expands its offerings.
“In the last four years, we’ve really done a good job building membership and getting our programming going and all of those things. And we really need to get to that next level where we have more in-depth programs. One of the things Michael will bring to us is an engagement with the younger population,” Bahr said.
Bahr said that Melochick, who is a Bangor resident, will take the reins of the historical society next week.
