Fire destroys Sullivan home Featured

Written by

SULLIVAN - A fire late Saturday night left a home in Sullivan a total loss.

Crews responded around 11:30 p.m. Saturday night to a fire on Punkinville Road. This photo of the scene came in to our news team from Chris Holmes.

Sullivan fire officials said when crews got there, the two story house was fully involved and had already collapsed.

Mutual aid from Hancock, Franklin, Sorrento, and Gouldsboro helped fight those flames.

Everyone made it out safely, but the home is a total loss. There were no injuries.

The American Red Cross is helping the homeowners.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. The State Fire Marshal's Office has been notified.
