NEWPORT - On Thursday, the Penobscot County District Attorney dismissed charges against a Newport man involved in a shooting in early December.

Brian Duplisea allegedly shot a man at Bear's One Stop convenience store in Newport on December 12.

According to Newport Police, the man suffered non-life threatening injuries after being shot twice.

A statement from District Attorney Marianne Lynch says the charges were withdrawn based on facts that surfaced during the investigation.
