New partnership looks to help small businesses

Written by

BANGOR - A new group made of local organizations around Greater Bangor is helping small businesses and start ups.

The Business Resource Partners for Greater Bangor had their launch party Wednesday night at UMA in Bangor.

It's a network of local organizations that can help small business owners with a variety of needs, like financial planning, loans, and marketing.

Leaders of the collaborative group said it's a good way to show that business does take place in Bangor.

"It can be really lonely running a business and it's a lot of responsibility," said Ashleigh Briggs, a certified business advisor. "And letting people know that these services are here to help and support them I think is going to be a really great boost for the overall morale."

More than one hundred people came through their launch party.
