Dysart's now has AEDs Featured

HERMON - After a customer at Dysart's suffered a heart attack a few weeks back staff are now being trained on how to use an automated external defibrillator, also known as an AED.

The Hermon Fire Department noticed they did not have one when they came to help the patient and suggested it may be a good investment.

Without any hesitation, the Vice President, Tim Dysart, said okay. Dysart's not only bought AED's for the Hermon location but for the Bangor and Newburgh store as well.

Chief Frank Roma of the Hermon fire department said, "I couldn't be more proud of Dysart's. They are a heart-friendly business here in Hermon but they have a heart for everyone that comes into their stores."

Vice President of Dysart's Tim Dysart said, "We thought that if we was recommending it we were all in favor of doing whatever might be helpful."

For the next few days, employees will be trained on how to use the AED in a class upstairs at Dysart's.
