The body of Kary Dill, 35, was discovered in the home she shared with Osgood. Dill worked at the Clifton Country Store, located next door to the Airline Road home.
Friends remember her smile.
“She was the sweetest of women,” said John “Tip” Massaro. “She always had an infectious smile, you know. It doesn't matter what type of day you were having, you walked in that store and you said, 'Good morning' to her she'd just smile from ear to ear and it didn't matter. Bless her heart. It's a shame something like this happens.”
The Maine State Police crime lab spent a second day at the home on Tuesday.
A neighbor told us that police detectives are asking folks if they heard gunshots.
Dill's body was taken to Augusta on Monday for an autopsy.
Osgood was taken to the Penobscot County Jail in Bangor. Osgood will make his first court appearance in Penobscot Superior Court at 1 pm Wednesday. He was arrested at the State Police barracks in Bangor about 4 pm. The couple had lived together for about 4 years.
