The BARN in Brewer asking for clothing donations for good cause Featured

BREWER - The Barn in Brewer is looking for clothing donations to help people put their best foot forward.

The Bangor Area Recovery Network started collecting business casual attire for their "career closet."

The donated items are going to people in need of clothes for job interviews. The Barn helps those recovering from substance abuse and their families.

Bangor Area recovery network volunteer Joseph Hartel said, "It's been tough times for a lot of people around here and we hope by getting the clothes they need they have a step further in the right direction as far as getting employment"

Barn volunteers said they first started collecting for the career closet about two weeks ago, but they need a lot more clothes.

They're taking items of all sizes in good condition. Clothes can be dropped off when the Barn is open located at 142 Center St in Brewer.
