Fugitive, alleged accomplice caught in Maine Featured

WASHINGTON - A fugitive from New Hampshire and a woman who may have been helping him elude police were arrested Friday morning in the Knox county town of Washington.

According to a statement from the Knox County Sheriff's Department, 32-year-old Brian Bateman of Epping, New Hampshire and 26-year-old Shawn Albee of Barrington, New Hampshire are being held at Knox County Jail.


A sheriff's spokesman said Bateman was wanted by New Hampshire police for allegedly cutting an ankle monitor and escaping from house arrest.


Police charged Albee with hindering apprehension of a fugitive.
