Hampden- Those looking for original music don't have to look any further than Hampden Academy.
On January 11th Hampden Academy's Music Department will host Play it Forward V CD drive to raise money for charity.
The music director has students creating their own music, their own writing, and their own production for the show.
The music is recorded at a local music studio, and after it's recorded it's printed on a cd, and then the cd's are sold at the Play It Forward.
Hampden Senior Issac Anderson says that "Along with admission charges all the funds made there go to some sort of charitable organization. Two years ago it was Sienna Probert, a Hampden Academy student battling cancer, this year it is hug it forward which is an
organization in Guatemala helping for students to build schools for themselves"
Students taking part in the Play it Forward V drive feel good about what they are doing as Hampden Senior Julia Hammond states that "It is really nice that we can help another school within our own community because our music program is so strong, so its nice to give back
and give them a chance to have that education and have that inspiration to become successful in the music industry."
These students are making a positive impact while also having fun.
The CD drive starts at 7:00 PM at Hampden Academy and admission tickers and cds are each five dollars.
