Bangor police host Red Cross blood drive

BANGOR - In honor of National Blood Donor month, the Bangor Police Department hosted an American Red Cross blood drive on Tuesday.

And since the blood drive was held at the police station, a number of officers rolled up their sleeves and donated.

Sgt. Wade Betters said that the blood drive came at an opportune time.

"The blood supply is low and we had an opportunity to partner with them, to provide a space. We can come in and help give people an opportunity to donate and help pump up that supply," he said.
