Bangor police investigating KeyBank robbery

BANGOR - Shortly after opening on Wednesday morning, the KeyBank out by the Bangor Mall was robbed.

It was the second bank robbery in Bangor in less than a week. TD Bank was robbed on Friday.

 

KeyBank employees called for help at 9:22 a.m. and reported that a white male in his 20s or 30s made a threat and was given money.

 

"They had just been robbed. When our officers responded, we learned the suspect had fled before our arrival. we believe the suspect left on foot and he fled with an undisclosed amount of cash," Bangor police Sgt. Wade Betters said.

 

There were customers inside KeyBank when the robbery happened. No injuries were reported.

 

Detectives released an image of the man wanted for questioning in the TD Bank robbery.

 

Anyone with information about either of the robberies is asked to call the Bangor Police Department at 947-7384.
