On duty firefighters from all over the city met at Central Station for a home cooked meal.
The meal included two hams, two turkeys, and a plethora of other selections.
Assistant Fire Chief Darrell Cyr is retiring at the end of January and says it's something that he will miss.
"The fire service is a big family to begin with so its not often that we have our real at home families with us, so this is a good time," said Cyr. "I will definitely miss it because it's quite the comradery."
Cyr has worked for the Bangor Fire Department for 31 years.
