Suspect in weekend incidents remains behind bars in northern Maine

HOULTON - A northern Maine man is behind bars after an incident over the weekend.

On Sunday afternoon, Houlton Police responded to reports of a crash on Ludlow Road.

According to the Houlton Police Department, officers determined the incident was the result of a domestic dispute and the suspect, 29-year-old Jeremiah Drew of Mount Chase, had fled the scene.

Authorities also received information that Drew had been involved in another incident moments later at the local Walmart, where he was allegedly acting irrational and making threats.

Drew managed to elude capture until Monday morning, when he was arrested by Baxter State Park Rangers near Millinocket.

He was taken to the Aroostook County Jail and is facing a number of charges, including domestic violence reckless conduct, endangering the welfare of a child and aggravated criminal mischief.
