WINDHAM - Cumberland County Sheriff Kevin Joyce said that two people were sent to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries after 29-year-old Dale Tucker of Casco led police on a chase down Route 302 at the Windham and Raymond line.

Joyce said police were looking for Tucker due to his alleged involvement in a domestic situation.

The section of Route 302 at the Raymond town line was shut down for several hours while police investigated the crash.

He said failing to remain stopped for a police officer carries significant offenses.

Cumberland County Sheriff Kevin Joyce said, "a misdemeanor is all of a sudden a felony because this guy decided to drive like a madman. Everything's upgraded, and the people he put in danger because of his actions is-- is ridiculous."

He said that the quick actions of police to lay down a spike strip in time prevented a lot more damage from happening.
