Bangor Farmers' Market heads indoors for the winter

Written by

BANGOR -  If you're looking for some fresh, locally grown produce, there's still a way to get it in the winter months.

Earlier this month, the Bangor Farmers' Market moved inside for the season at Sea Dog Brewing Company in Bangor.

About a dozen vendors show up every first and third Sunday of the winter months - selling everything from meat to greens to maple syrup, and anything else in season.

"A lot of us are doing even more and more season extension and growing storage crops," said Brittany Hopkins, the treasurer of and a vendor at the Bangor Winter Farmers' Market, "so a lot of us still have products and nice things to sell into the winter."

The indoor market will continue until April, and runs from eleven a.m. to one p.m.

If you're interested in becoming a vendor, you can apply at the Bangor Farmers' Market's website.
