Two people arrested after drug bust Featured

SOUTH PORTLAND - The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency arrested two people for aggravated trafficking in heroin and fentanyl on Thursday.

Arrested were 24-year-old Luis Ortiz and 27-year-old Tatiana Rosado both of Lowell Massachusetts.


The Cumberland district task force arranged a delivery of fentanyl and heroin from Ortiz, which has a street value of $160 per gram.


They said Ortiz arrived at a South Portland parking lot accompanied by Rosado were they were arrested by an undercover agent without incident and transported to the Cumberland County jail.


Police said an additional 15 grams of fentanyl and heroin mix was also seized from Ortiz during the arrest.


Bail is set for Ortiz and Rosado at $25,000.
