Central High School participates in Christmas is for Kids Featured

CORINTH- Christmas time is a season of giving and one area high school is making sure everyone gets a gift this year.

Central High School in Corinth has been taking part in "Christmas is for Kids" for the past 14 years.

Each advisory picks a child to sponsor from the Christmas is for Kids website.

Then they purchase and wrap the gifts for them.

"My absolute favorite part about shopping for them is thinking about how much joy we can bring these kids" Kaitlynn Bean, a junior at the high school said "Because they're coming from rough families and backgrounds and childhoods, it's really nice to know that we can be a happiness for them on Christmas."

Before the school sends the gifts off for delivery they place them around the tree in the school gymnasium.

It's a sight that brings them together and reminds them of the importance of giving

"When everyone goes up to put their presents under the tree. It's really cute." Alyse Campbell, a senior told us. "I really like that after you get to see everyone's presents and it's really cool to see everything coming together."

"With this we get to give gifts to people who wouldn't normally get and we get a feeling of giving to other people" said Dylan Ham, a senior at Central High School.
