Pittsfield woman sentenced in federal drug case

Written by

BANGOR - A 55-year-old Pittsfield woman was sentenced Tuesday to 46 months in prison for conspiring to sell drugs during a hearing Tuesday at U.S. District Court.

According to court records, in July this year Deborah Toothaker admitted she was conspiring to sell oxycodone and heroin in the Newport area.

A statement from the U.S. Attorney's Office said that Judge John Woodcock called the sentence appropriate because Toothaker was making money off of other people's misery.
