FRANKLIN - The third annual Downeast Festival of Trees wrapped up Sunday.

The event is put on by the Anah Shriners and the Franklin Veterans Club.

Christmas trees and other items were raffled off to raise money for Shriner's hospital for children.

Shriners said this year the crowds and support exceeded their expectations.

Member of Anah Shriners Steve Mosley said, "Well it's kind of a labor of love for most of us...once you go to one of the hospitals and see what happens there and see these kids, it's an easy thing to give your time to."

Santa Claus also made an appearance Sunday for the kids present.

The Franklin Veterans Club provided food to keep the Christmas cheer going.
