PITTSFIELD - An old farmhouse in Pittsfield is a total loss following a fire Saturday afternoon.

Officials said it happened just after 5 PM on Main street.

When crews arrived they discovered heavy fire coming from both sides of the home.

The fire chief said no one was home at the time, and the Red Cross will not be assisting since the owners do have a place to stay.

The cause is still under investigation.
