Corinth drug raid leads to 2 arrests

CORINTH - Two people are facing charges after a drug raid at a home on Ledge Hill Road.

Officials said that several weeks ago, the state police launched an investigation into reports of the sale of heroin and crack cocaine at the home and that drug enforcement agents bought drugs directly from the homeowner, 46-year-old Shawn Bowman.

Authorities said they raided Bowman's home on Wednesday and seized more than 28 grams of crack cocaine, four grams of heroin, a loaded shotgun, a loaded pistol and $8,000 that they believe came from the sale of drugs.

Bowman is charged with two counts of trafficking drugs and possession of firearms by a felon.

Angel Lugo, 30, of Connecticut is being charged with aggravated trafficking in cocaine.

Both men remain at Penobscot County Jail.
