Snowy roads blamed after car slides into stream Featured

 FRANKFORT  -  Snow-covered roads were blamed for a Sunday morning accident that sent a car skidding into Marsh Stream next to U.S. Route 1A.

The driver and a passenger were able to free themselves from the car, but stayed with the vehicle until first responders arrived


"There was a vehicle in the southbound lane, in the stream. Two guys standing on top of the roof. We had to use a  kayak to get them out, " said Chief Jeff Anderson of the Frankfort Fire Department.


The names and addresses of the men involved in the accident were not available Sunday. The accident happened around 9:30 a.m., Sunday.
