Weekend bake sale helps Red Knights support charities

ELLSWORTH - This weekend, members of the Red Knights' Maine Chapter III were raising money for a number of local charities.

It kicked off Saturday at the Mill Mall.

The bake sale happens twice a year, with all of its proceeds going to eleven different organizations.

That includes the Make-A-Wish Foundation, where the Red Knights sponsor one child.

"It's just great to see the smile on everyone's faces when they can get something that they never thought was going to come," said Pamela Morse, a member of the Red Knights Maine Chapter III.

The Red Knights will continue to sell their baked goods at the Mill Mall on Sunday morning and will have a similar fundraiser in February.
