BANGOR - The battle to represent Maine's 2nd congressional district has moved from the counting room to the courtroom.

On Tuesday morning, incumbent Rep. Bruce Poliquin filed a lawsuit in U.S. District Court in Bangor asking a judge to stop the ballot counting.

The complaint states ranked-choice voting violates the US. Constitution. No word yet on when a judge may issue a ruling on the lawsuit.

Meanwhile, ballot scanning continues in Augusta as the ranked-choice vote count goes forward.
